On the road again...
Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:28PM Hello there,
Well, it's been a stressful week for reasons that I won't bore you with. With that in mind, how pleased was I with the lovely night that was had by all at Cabaret Amber on Tuesday. We had a lovely time, very chilled out, with some truly delightful people. Thank you to Gina and Alan for making us so welcome - the band and I wish you the best for the rest of the festival!
As an aside, I was disappointed to hear that they had run out of wool, so the knitting was minimal this year. I hope that they have managed to replenish the stocks in time for the weekend...
There is a video of our performance of Aisha from the festival on the "Video" page. For an ambient video recording, it's pretty good I think. I hope you enjoy it too.
So, what's next? Well, I am going to Milton Keynes, via London, on Friday to pick up the new Spina-Mobile (my little Brava has died... how she will be missed) then straight to the gorgeous Barton-on-Humber to open for Jackie Leven at The Ropewalk. Having played with Jackie at this venue before, it is a really special venue, Jackie is a legend and it'll be a night not to be missed if you're in the area.
Other than that, I am striving towards securing a release for Coming Home. Things are tough out there, but I'm confident that I'll be able to make it happen soon. Just keep watching this space and hopefully I've have some good news soon...
Take care for now, and see you in Barton!
A x
